guitar.jpg Harmonix, of Amplitude and Frequency fame, is planning to release a Guitar Freaks clone in fall of 2005 by the name of Guitar Hero, which will play with a special guitar controller from Red Octane. They are calling for band submissions, and likely want something very straight, but still a nice opportunity.
Edit: So, the pages have been taken down, as this was probably supposed to be announced at E3. But hey - cached pages. The band submissions are supposed to be in by July 1, 2005, and will be in the game alongside songs from Jimi Hendrix, Sum 41, Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Zombie and others. So likely they expect songs of that ilk. There are further details, but we'll leave those til the official announcement. quoted from insert credit Hopfully the game will be online. more info here http://www.harmonixmusic.com/ |
