This is actually old news, but I completely missed it when it was announced. So I am assuming some of you may have has well. Final Fantasy XI Online is getting yet another expansion, titled “Treasures of Aht Urhgan”. The official website just went live about 2 weeks ago. It has a variety of gorgeous area screenshots, as well as some information on new jobs and enemies. There is no set release date at the moment, so stay tuned to the releases page in the Online Game List for more information.
This release is great news for PS2 Online fans. It seems it will never be too late to get into FFXI Online, since the game is multi-platform, and when the PC version gets an update, the console versions will as well. This makes me a bit more confident about buying an official hard-drive, knowing I could easily take this game for a spin 1 or even 2 years from now with my Playstation 2.
