Are there any cheap import disks out there? Maybe one you can download? I'd rather NOT mod my precious silver PS2.

The Playstation 2 is not like the Dreamcast. You can't just download stuff and burn it and run it on the PS2. It doesn't work like that. Setting the PS2 up for imports is a pain.

To be honest. If you have the money I would try and score a Japanese PS2 on ebay, or shell out 200-220 (this is after shipping), at Play-Asia for a Ceramic White Slim Japanese PS2.

What about this swap-card method? All I want to do is play Panzer Dragoon, Earth Defense Force 1&2, and Zombie vs. Ambulance.
To much money to play 4 games...

PS: Congrats on exactly 2000 posts Nikon

These are your options

1. Import a japanese ps2.
2. Get a mod chip for your ps2.
3. Get a swap magic disc.
4. If you have the old model, you can also use a memory card exploit.

Note that 3 and 4 will not let you play import PS1 games, only PS2 games.
