It's an odd question but I really want to know. My copy of Battlefield is pretty scratched and I notice things get pretty sluggish a lot with that game.

If the scratches were effecting the game, it would cause it to lockup/freeze or not boot at all. What type of anomolies are you running into? Are you referring to network latency or the games framerate performance?

It's the framerate performance. I can't recall perfectly clear, but I don't think this game would trudge like this when I first started playing it online.

The best test for that would be to play some online, the play some offline to see if you are getting similar results. Preferably the same map with similar player counts if possible. If you get the same results in both, then it is the games native framerate. If you get poorer performance online, then that is the result of network latency aka lag.

Yea, I'm beginning to think it is lag. It may be linked to my Playlinks. God I hate all these variables.
