Any one have some 'must own' ps1 games? I'm trying to build up my classic collection, especially since Nikon took the lions share of our childhood stash....bastard.

I suggest "Sled Storm" (a very good EA game) and "Cool Borders 4".

Two games that get the crap played out of them every winter in my house Smile .

Hmm ones I played the hell out of

Soul blade, I will get slated but this was my favorite to play of the series. Havent played it in years though so dont know how its stood up to the test of time.

Monster rancher, Based on the TV series this game had depth.

Final fantasy 7, loathed or loved guess you have to play it to find out, one of the biggest sell rpg's ever.

Resident evil, see where it all began.

Destruction derby 2, always good for a laugh.

V ball, class volleyball game with special features and moves, great multi player.

Rage racer, loved watching the Mrs play this, fantastic soundtrack.

Vigilante 8, great vehicle mayhem

I am sure there are more but the minds gone balnk for now, these ones spring instantly to mind anyway.

The Crash Bandicoot and Spyro series were great platform/adventure games on the PS1. Another vote here for Sled Storm and Cool Boarders as well, took up a lot of my free time back then.

I put up a vote for Sled Storm as well.

This game was amazing, I remember playing the demo of it for hours.. untill we bought the game.

We invited our cousin over to play the game with us once, haha.

Of all the Playstation games, my top three are Wipeout XL, Wipeout 3, and Tekken 3. I actually prefer the Playstation Wipeout titles as opposed to the PS2's Wipeout Fusion. Fusion just didn't seem to fit into the Wipeout category for me.

i would add final fantasy tactics & castlevania: symphony of the night. out of these two, castlevania is really a true "must-have". brilliant music and smooth gameplay all the way. admittedly it's a little easy, but damn is it fun.
