I feel so stupid. I bought a PS2 off criagslist and the DVD drive doesn`t spin so it won`t read anything. How much would it cost me to fix it. How much are they worth for parts? If I bought one of these would it fix it?

Couldn't say for sure man. You may have to try to ask around SKS Apps or Exploitstation since they have more experience digging around the inside of consoles.

I am no expert but have opened quite a few PS2's. In my experience PS2 consoles that dont spin are more than just a simple fix. Cleaning the lens does not fix these and neither does adjusting the laser in my experience. I sale these as spares or send them to auction as parts. I dont even open non spinning PS2's anymore if a PS2 does not load I listen to it and if its not spinning it goes in the broken pile. Sorry not to bring better news.
