when you got the actual playstation itself it didn't come with a set up disc?
If it didn't you can use most games to set up a connection file just pick up an online game most of them have an option to edit a setting or create a setting.....

Yeah, if you are buying a new Network Adaptor, it should come with a setup disc. If you don't get one (or you buy your Network Adaptor used, like I did), you can use most online games to set it up (as Memphissss said).

I know for a fact that Tribes: Aerial Assault is capable of setting up your adapter. I originally tried with a rented copy of XIII, and it didn't seem to have the setup utility on it, so that one's no good. It is my understanding that pretty much every online PS2 game (other than XIII) has a network setup utility on it.

There's a lot that don't actually. A bunch of them do though.

Everything's used, I bought it off a friend of mine.

Give me opinions of games I should get right away for online gaming.

I'm definitely getting Ghost Recon Jungle Storm because I'm nice in the XBOX version of GR.
NFL Street
ESPN NFL Football
Need for Speed Underground
Frequency

Anything else?

Why did you choose those games? What are you into? Are you interested in playing a lot of games with the people on this site? Then I can answer your question. Razz

Here are some more must buys: Tribes Aerial Assault, Twisted metal Black(comes with the online version if you buy the new package of the greatest hits), Kingdom Hearts (I know it is not an online game but it is a very awesome rpg for $20.00).

Remember, that one is only online for the Xbox.

DRBagabundo....are you on dialup or broadband?

Also if no setup disc comes with your system. Then just buy WarHammer 40,000 FireWarrior....it has a complete network setup tool right on the disc.

Titles I recommend are

Tribes Aerial Assault
FireWarrior
Twisted Metal Black Online

All are $19.99 too. TribesAA might be a little harder to find but should have no problem tracking it down.

Welcome to PS2 online Very Happy

I have a BB connection of course. Capcom Vs SNK EO isn't online for the PS2? aww that blows monkey farts...I might end up picking up Tribes just because I had part 2 for the PC and it was alright. I'm currently looking to pick up TMBO for under 10$. I remember when the regular "Black" came out and me and my cousin picked it up and played it for like 5 hours straight, then pawned it off about 3 months later...lol

DRBagaundo, do you have AOL Broadband? (It looks like you do from your sig and website.) I'm sure you've already set up the online thing by now, but just wanted to know if you had any troubles since it's AOL.

I don't use AOL Broadband, I use Verizon DSL.

I might end up picking up SOCOM 1 and 2 just to see if its anything like Ghost Recon. Anywho, I got my online gaming on yesterday with NBA Live 2004 so...thanks for the help fellas!
