I just sealed a deal for Final Fantasy X! Online for 45$.

The bundle includes:

Sony HDD
FInal Fantasy Xi Online

The trial period has been used up.
Do I need something to install my HDD?

The trial has been used up, yet you haven't installed the HDD? Well, assuming you have a network adapter, take that off with a coin or something (quarters work well) and slide the HDD in. It may get stuck part way through, just push it to one direction (not sure which) a little bit and it should slide the rest of the way in. Then just put the Network Adapter back on and boot up. The PS2 will automatically recognize the HDD and will have most of FFXI and POL installed. You'll need to boot the POL disc and install the rest, then you're good to go!

I also got mine for dirt cheap too($25). After I did a compete reinstall of the software and tried to register it it said my codes were invalid. You may want to try giving PlayOnline a call and see if you can get it reset. I haven't done that yet due to the lack of time to do so. Let me know if that helps, and if it does I will do that too.

Well, the guy I purchased the Bundle from said he used up the trial. Is there a way to get another trial without paying every month to play?

Also, I already figured how the HDD fits but I wanna know what is the HD Loader for?

Also, how do you reset your HDD?

I was almost able to seal a deal for the FFXI Online trial card. If my HDD was already registered, would formatting it allow me to use another trial registration card?

The HDD was registered? As far as I know, the only registering has to do with the 4 or 5 serial keys that are provided in the back of your manual and are tied to your account. I'm not sure about the trial registration card, infact, I've never heard of them.

HDLoader is a tool that allows one to copy PS2 games to one's harddrive and play them off of the harddrive, not needing the disc again.
