Just announced today, Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions stated BF:Modern Combat will be delayed for over a year. The game won't see a release until Fall of 2005. However this will ensure a quality game hits the market. In response to consumer feedback, they are adding a full single player campaign to the game.

"Adding more time to the development cycle of the game will result in a more expansive feature set and a more compelling product," said Greg Richardson, General Manager, EA Partners. "We are confident that this decision will result in a stronger title and continue the advancement of the Battlefield brand."

They are planning on expanding the multiplayer map count as well.
