Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that a SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs II update will be pushed to all online players on Thursday, September 9. The patch will fix numerious bugs gamers have been using to cheat online. Not only this, but the ladder system will be completly reset in order to level the playing field. Parameters for voting players out of games will be altered as well as some disconnect issues.

The largest in-game change is the repair of collision detection issues in maps. Regions where users will travel inside polygonal objects to gain an unfair advantage.

+Bonus Info:
(Socom 2 also recently qualified for Greatest Hits status. That's right folks. Socom 2 is now retailing for $19.99 nationwide. A price drop and a ladder reset? A double blessing indeed.)

yeah this would be good for people who are just getting this game with a ladder reset.. I havent played this in a while and i used to be high in the ladder but now i have another chance to get up there.. I dont know how much ill play this when star wars battlefront comes out....

I have yet to download tis patch but i will tonight..... Its good that the bugs have been fixed to elimate some cheating.... Im sure there still are ways to cheat but the less the better.....

Now this being a greatest hit i think more ppl will get this making the online players number even greater than it is...

I was high on the ranks, but then my name reset its stats

then a patch fixed it so you go up and down the ladder slower than before

and now when my rank is up there again... IT GETS RESET. Sad

I finally got my Socom II online last night and downloaded the updates n shit. Socom II is alot different from Socom. It's at a much faster pace which makes it harder to shoot fuckers down. I already created the clan and have sent out invites to mir wan. Anyone else that wants to be down with the OnlineConsole clan just has to PM me and let me know there username.

Ok, that's cool. Are you guys using your OC names as your Online Socom II tags?

BTW, is it me or does Socom II take a long ass time to connect, join games and etc. I'm hoping it's not my connection.

What do you mean? By Clan Tag I meant your Socom II username.

When I played Socom II it didn't take me long at all to connect. It was rather fast.

Since this thread went off-topic, I'm gonna make a new one just for the clan.
