...would I just set up a LAN game and use bots? I don't have the offline version to practice, and in case I can't get on the internet and host a bot game, I wanna know if I can still have a bot game "offline" in LAN sense, without internet.

Does LAN still require you to connect with one of your network configurations? Because then wouldn't that be accessing the internet...

I just need some clarification on all of this. Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can start a LAN game and play any configuration against 2 A.I. bots.

You need a router or ICS in order to do this. Since the PS2 has to pick up an IP address in order to innitiate LAN mode.
