I mean like I have a cell phone and I was wondering if I could use the internet off that cause it has the internet on it.
Or if I could use the cell phone line to connect to the ps2 online.

that would be cool. it may be possible to do it off the comp as a network, seeing as you can now use the data service on your phone on your comp to surf the web. But on the other hand it would be a rather bad version of dial-up. Seems better just sticking to free isp's.

in chicago verizon has somthing called 'vcast' in which dsl like speeds can supposedly be achived over a cell phone. id say invest in that iff its in you area.

otherwise, on a normal cell phone, an old friend of mine bought the data cable for his phone and hooked it into his laptop. but he only could get speeds of 28k or so.

unless a service is similar to vcast is available by you, i dont think 28k is enough to play ps2 games.

From the connection speeds I've gotten, 28kbps is enough to connect to most game servers, but you won't be able to connect with any opponents.

Speaking of using a cell phone as an internet connection, what ever happened to that idea of hooking up a cell phone to a PSone? Remember this picture?:
