NICE Very Happy You scored one with i.link :]

The best advice I can give is to keep your PS2 horizontal. I started getting some DRE related issues when I had my PS2 in vertical position, and then moved it to a horizontal position. Since then the problem hasn't gotten worse. Having the PS2 in a vertical position causes the system to fight gravity when spinning the disc. So it is best to keep the system in a horizontal position.

make sure you keep it as free of dust as possible. vacuum out the front vent often, and keep out of dust prone areas. i.e. close to the floor or on the top of an entertainment center.

all of our PS2s will DRE eventually, all we can do is ward off the menace as log as we can.
