Check link above. This game looks insane graphically. Look at those lobbies. Wow. Also ign states that there will be a single player experience and seperate online experience. I will be extremly dissapointed if the online gameplay can only be played offline. One of the alluring features of PSO was that you can play the online experience offline or online. According to the EGM article on PSU the 2 games are completly seperate, The offline game is a 40 hour quest in the vein of a regular Final Fantasy You don't even create your player for the offline game 
And the online game I believe is supposed to have server side saving to cut down on cheating, Thats why I mentioned I might still buy the game even if I don't care to pay HL fee ( which I know is still justified and needed ). EDIT: I should have went to the link 1st, I pretty much repeated what was said there. I think you meant to say if online was online only ,or offline being offline only? well for the moment it doesn't look good , Maybe if the 40 quest is just a bonus for those who don't play online? |

You'd never assoiciate this game with the humble looking PSO if you were going by looks alone. Yowza! 
The online-only game doesn't bother me at all. I imagine that's where I'll be spending the vast majority of my time. It'll increase appeal for those who want an offline RPG or are more interested in the online component. I just hope this doesn't turn into a FFXI in space clone. That'll drive me livid. -Mytho |

The only way to avoid hacker and cheaters is if the game is only online. It's impossible avoid, at least duping items, if its offline and online like PSO Ep 1&2, and III. I'm happy to know the game offline will be different form the online. At least there is a chance we can have a clean game. | |||
