With star wars battlefront, I sort of feel like the dedicated server was a stop gap solution for game not being able to support high player counts off a single PS2 host. Well, I don't mean the hardware, but the bandwidth wasn't streamlined enough to support a home user to support high player counts off a standard DSL connection. Which is probobly why they released a dedicated server so users could host on dedicated bandwidth.

Now, if they lock down the bandwidth do you think they will not even release a dedicated server?

I guess I won't really get too bent out of shape, since there is dedicated server software for the first one.

I mean, I can't complain, its amazing that it was released for that game in the first place.

However, if SWBF2, does get ded.server released then I will jump for joy. Mr. Green
