i recently played the demo and it was quite fun, just wondering anyone actually bought the full game, i was thinking of buying it but just want to know if theres enough people online. and some of the options. i probly will still purchase but just want to clarify some stuff. | |||

Most of my sources (read; GameFaqs and a few friends) say the game has a good online mode, but barely anyone plays.

I beta-tested Jak X over the summer and can provide some details.
Overall, it's a pretty decent game. The cars have very loose handling and a tendency to fish-tail often. It also seems like they're made of plastic, since they have a low threshold of damage. The wrecks aren't too devastating, as you'll respawn on the track fairly quickly. The feel of the game is somewhat similar to Crash Team Racing. Online-wise, it's a very feature-rich game. The stat tracking is highly extensive, covering how many races you've won in each mode, kills/deaths, how many people you've raced aganist and more. It also includes a clan mode, friends list and headset support. There is little to no lag once you are in a game. If you don't have a full grid to race against, you can set bot racers up to fill in. If you are part of the Playstation Underground, you should of received a $5 off coupon for the game. It was a toss-up for me at the full retail price, but considering how much time and effort went into the online portion, $35 seems like a good deal. -Mytho |
