I thought I would just let people know how many people are still playing Monster Hunter. There is a LOT...
I am burning a ton of data off my PC, so I figured I would play some monster hunter while I wait for all this data to finish burning. Here is how many people are online at 9PM on a Sunday: Red Land: 640 Green Land: 83 Blue Land: 103 It is great to see this game thriving so much, because frankly, it deserves it. I'm considering buying Monster Hunter, it'll take awhile for me to save up but I was wondering how the communication is on Monster Hunter. I hear there isnt any headset support, does it make it difficult to communicate during battle? And does anyone know a good places to get it? I cant seem to find it on ebgames.com or gamestop.com... | |||

The main reason I bought a keyboard was for Monster Hunter. It if you do not have a keyboard it is a real pain in the ass communicating with other players. You can find the game on Ebay.com. Here is link!

Actually I might be awhile before I get it, because I'm pretty broke right now. I can save up to get it, but it will take awhile; especially with my money saving habits (or lack of). Seems like Monster Hunter is starting to be kinda rare, I might just wait until Monster Hunter 2 comes out.

I really need to play Monter Hunter again, but I've been heavily distracted by work (I've gotten 3 projects dumped on me because GE is allocating a lot of people to a new and important project). I love the game and would love to play it with you guys some time. It deserves all of the attention it's getting from its many players. | |||

Since PSU is probably gonna be delayed for a few months I plan on getting Monster Hunter again soon. I still have my save file on my memory card. I currently have full Rathian armor. One day I will get that Dragon armor.

77 I was actually going to go back online PSO for GCN but it wouldn't accept my credit card. I think its a sign of how it has become clear PSU is the "The Game" that will consume 80% + of all my gaming. I need to save money anyway, so fall should be a good time to immerse myself in the world of fees again. However, in the meantime - after reading this post and doing some research - I decided to order Monster Hunter: 29.99 from OGaming.com. Dude this game looks pretty cool! I never heard of it so I went to some different sites and read reviews and watched videos. I have got to say Im excited It seems from the reviews Ive read this is a bigtime sleeper. Most game sites gave it bad reviews, but only found a couple of negative player reviews. In fact nearly every player review I read said stuff like "amazing", "awesome graphics", "great sound", "Best game ever!", "best online ps2 game", and even "perfect!" alot. I know there are some downfalls to the gameplay and loading times??? well supposedly - I havent played it yet, lol, but I think it will be worth it based on the number of players online and the fact that its free. I already have a keybard adapter for ps2 so I can chat. The game should arrive tomorrow. Let me know if any one wants to meet up and show me the ropes. |

| I wouldn't say loading times are a downfall. They're only about 4 seconds long, compared to the minutes you spend fighting monsters and Dragons in each area. Even if you rush from one area to the other, it still doesn't bother me. | ||||

I finally got the game. I completed the offline one star quests. Also Ive tried online several times but feel overwhelmed with battle. I still will daily Im sure, because I am learning and its nice to get $ easier and meet people. Now I need to refine my skills and aquire some more armor, considering I don't even have a shirt or helmet yet. I am at HR 3 now but could really use some help, mainly with learning how the game works, etc. Actually I don't really want any handouts yet because I want to figure everything related to armor/weapons first. I've been going to the Red world and usually just looking for a town with a few people in it. Everyone has been very friendly so far. Look for me or let me know here if you want to play.
My online times have been quite random so far. Anywhere between 8am - 2 -am pacific time time. My character is FullMetalNine. |
