That's pretty insane. I didn't even know you could carry that many . . .
That quest is a pretty good source for money though, so that sounds awesome. Anyways, I finally got the Rathalos armor set after completing the event quest numerous times, and I'm now focusing my attention on making a decent dual sword since I've seen a lot of people who use dual swords and it looks like an awesome weapon class. Plus, I'm kind of sick of being in a four person party where everyone uses Great Swords. I mean, they're great weapons and they'll probably remain my favorite, but it's definitely a good thing when your party has a variety of weaponry. To get the materials I need, I need to do some mining (I'm low on Machalite Ore) so that I can finish upgrading the weapon. Looks like I'll be squaring off against Basarios or just doing some insane mining runs. Either way, it'll be fun. After that, I plan on creating a Rathalos Fire Sword since I already have all of the requisite materials but just don't quite have the money for it yet. After that, who knows. I'm very close to getting the Lao Shan Lung quest since I'm now HR12 and am almost done with all of the 3 star quests, so that will certianly be a lot of fun (or so I've heard). Can't wait to meet up with more of you Monster Hunters online because so far I've only seen Nikon. |

The above Kelbi haul was worth about 3000z. I think I could have made more money if I did a "mixture" of things like I usually do. Such as creating nets, searching for special mushrooms, and killing Kelbi. To get that many Kelbi I had to kill about 90 total, and used the entire timelimit. I was dropping the last horn off at the 1 minute mark.

Killing Kelbi is a pretty decent way to make cash, but I'm sure there are better ways. Whatever works best for you is cool. I've never been much of a forager and don't combine materials very often. Early in the game, I made all of my money by fishing. Eventually, I moved on to Kelbi and the Panning for Goldenfish quest online (this quest is amazingly good for cash if you can make some Goldenfish bait and are a decent fisherman). Once you get a decent weapon and have a pretty good handle on the game, slaying Yian Kut-Ku over and over is probably the best way to earn money. You get 2000-3000z just for finishing the quest, and you'll probably get some nice items from the rewards and carves. You can probably make nearly 5000z every time you take on Yian Kut-Ku by yourself.

We should team up against him again for some money. I'm not sure I could take him offline yet. I have the offensive capability, but not the defensive just yet. Online I can handle him with another player no problem.

I look forward to that. It's certainly tough to beat Yian Kut-Ku with anything less that Kut-Ku Armor. Ironic, huh? I'd be glad to help out since I definitely need some money and ores. I should be online later tonight (maybe after nine EST or so?).
