I fought Lao Shan Lung yesterday (it's the event quest right now) for the first time and it was crazy. Lao is so freaking huge it's not even funny. The mission also takes place in a special area designed specifically for the Lao quest, so it's fun to see a different environment. The area is a fort that has a central hub leading down to variuos points along Lao's path to the fortress gate. The object of the level is to inflict as much damage as possible on Lao by the time he gets to the fortress gate. At the gate itself, there are Ballistas that you can man, and there is also a weapon that can only be used once (the so-called "Dragonator") and must be triggered at the proper time to deal massive damage to Lao. Lao is big and slow and hits you rarely, but when he does attack you, it can hurt pretty badly. Just be careful of his tail and don't get trapped between his feet. I stayed near his head since that seemed like the ideal spot for a Great Sword user like myself. I've heard that the Great Sword is probably the worst weapon for this battle, but it didn't really matter since I had three other people with me who were doing some pretty good damage themselves. Overall, the battle was pretty fun, especially in the final courtyard area where the Monster Hunter theme starts playing Smile . I enjoyed it and got some awesome rewards (one of which brings me one step closer to creating a Red Dragonsword), so I'll probably be doing it again very soon.

I need to get on this week and do this quest! I would love to see the different area. Is this the largest Dragon in the game? Or second largest?

Actually, it's the smallest dragon in the game Very Happy . There are only two dragons in the whole game, the rest are wyverns. Wyverns have wings and are bipeds. Dragons have no wings and are quadrupeds. But that's a moot point, I'm just being picky, lol. But seriously, Fatalis is also a dragon and is larger than Lao Shan Lung, so you still have him to look forward to, yay!

EDIT: I'm actually wrong. Fatalis is not very big, but I kind of figured he was since Lao Shan Lung is supposedly running from him. Fatalis is ridiculously tough, but not very large.
