I was looking on ebgames to see how much monster hunter was going for and i came across a pc version that is coming out in may or so....
This might have online play for psp. it doesnt say on the site yet....It would be cool if you could link this up with the ps2 monster hunter and maybe be able to transfer weapons and items or such.... http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/260701.asp |

I had to edit the title to reflect the nature of this post as this is not a PSP website. So had to reflect it relating to the Playstation 2 in some way. Otherwise I would have had to delete it :/
Monster Hunter PSP as far as I know has no connectivity with the Playstation 2 version of Monster Hunter for item transfer. It might have this capability with Monster Hunter 2, but that game hasn't even been announced in North America yet. Also, Monster Hunter Freedom has no online component. Which, depending on how you look at it is a great thing. Monster Hunter for the PSP will have local adhoc wireless play. Which means that it will always have network functions. So if the console versions go offline, serious Monster Hunter fans down the road will have a version of the game they can still network. It would have been interesting to see some cross platform online play between Monster Hunter 1 and Monster Hunter Freedom. But, in the end, if Monster Hunter Freedom had online play, it wouldn't have offline wireless. So for me I am glad it didn't have online play. |
