When using the headset in metal gear solid 3 online, I can hear myself through the headset as I am talking. Is there anyway to turn this off? It is extremly wierd!! Did konami put this in to stop people from yelling online?

I see nothing that lets you turn it off. I enjoy it myself.

Yeah, I think the echo side-effect of talking into the microphone is a love-or-hate kind of thing. (While this is an option in Konami's Karaoke Revolution games that can be toggled on or off, I didn't see it here.) It personally doesn't bother me, but I don't use the mic that much anyway.

I agree with lordnikon. Hearing myself through the headset speaker is annoying and awkward. It's like a crazy, unnatural stereo effect. There should've been an option to turn it off.
