Is Everquest free to play online or do they still make you pay a fee? | |||

Not only does it cost you money, but it costs you way more than when it was first released. The prices to play online were increased. The game costs about $12.99 to play online now. However if you pay for a years worth of subscription fees in advance, it brings it down to about $7.00 a month. (I am pretty sure they still have the monthly / tri-monthly / yearly packages going on. | |||

Are their any private servers like the US PSO? Becuase who is gonna pay 12.99 a month to play EQ? | |||

There are no alternative servers for the game.
According to mmorpgchart.com 30,000 people were subscribed as of July 2006. |

Yeah we're talking about the most popular MMO ever made here, people. And with numbers like that, it looks like it will remain that way for a long time to come.  |

Well thats the PC version that is super popular. The PS2 version is seperate. I think what you meant though was one of the most popular mmo franchises ever.  |
