Is Everquest free to play online or do they still make you pay a fee?

Not only does it cost you money, but it costs you way more than when it was first released. The prices to play online were increased. The game costs about $12.99 to play online now. However if you pay for a years worth of subscription fees in advance, it brings it down to about $7.00 a month. (I am pretty sure they still have the monthly / tri-monthly / yearly packages going on.

There are no alternative servers for the game.

According to mmorpgchart.com 30,000 people were subscribed as of July 2006.

Yeah we're talking about the most popular MMO ever made here, people. And with numbers like that, it looks like it will remain that way for a long time to come. Mr. Green
