this is how i got round the 612 error code
1.i sorted my network config though a game and did isp and dns manually ( got info from my pc)

2.when i tryed to play tiger woods, id get connected but wouldnt get pass the dnas bit, thats when i recieved the 612 code

3.so i went back to network config and EDITED my config but this time i did isp and dans as AUTO then saved

4.tested the connection and it still connected

5.so went to the game again and YEAH it worked.......

Hope you all can understand this....
ive hoped ive helped people out with this information and please let me know if it did thankyou all......

PS i dont use a router or anything, modem is plugged straight into ps2.

I had to set my PS2:s IP in my router's DMZ in my router's setup. That made it work for me. (though I never got to play any games, as no one plays XIII online)

How about making a dedicated "DNAS error code" topic?
