For the first time ever, we tunneled an online game over the internet that had since been terminated. This took place on July 4th 2007.
We have tunneled games in the past, and we have tunneled Twisted Metal in the past also. However this is the first time we actually played a PS2 online game over the internet... AFTER it had been taken offline. It was a really great feeling to be sitting there online chatting and destroying each other round after round knowing the official service for this game was long gone. It was very relaxing and stress free knowing that 2 years from now, 5 years from know, 10 years from now, we could network this game across the internet to another player independant of corporate control. Its just nice knowing that a game you love to play isn't going to get crippled by outside forces. Anyways, it was myself, lanzarlaluna, and TheMytho. We played a ton of rounds. Mytho showed me his skills using Manslaughter and completly obliterated me multiple times in the Power Plant level. Relics were on as usual of course. Lanz used Sweetooth the entire time.
