From the listing it appears there is no lan enabled RPG for PS2 at the current time. Are all the RPG's fully tested for lan? I guess the only one left that is not is Marvel ultimate alliance. What a shame if there is not a RPG we will be able to play in 5 years time Sad bummer

No RPG's have LAN capabilities. Here is why:

All of the following titles have offline multiplayer since they take places from a topdown or isometric perspective. The developers would see no reason to add LAN support, since you could just play together on a single TV:
  • Champions of Norrath: Realms of EverQuest
  • Champions: Return to Arms
  • Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows
  • Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
  • X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

The following games are subscription based, 2 of which are online only MMO's:
  • EverQuest Online Adventures
  • Final Fantasy XI Online
  • Phantasy Star Universe

All Monster Hunter titles on the PS2 in Japan are subscription based online games. So they do not have LAN functions either.

So regrettably there are no online forever RPG's on the PS2.

This is why the co-op games we have are so important, and why each time I found out one had LAN I was very excited. Every other online game is adversarial. So to have online forever co-op experiences where you are working together, rather than competing against each other is a great thing.

We have 4 total online forever titles with co-op gameplay:
  • Rogue Trooper
  • Conflict Global Terror (Global Storm in PAL regions)
  • Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers
  • Socom US Navy SEALs Combined Assault
