I've been a bit low on cash lately but i've finally gotten round to starting my PS2 shooter collection. I don't plan to buy every shooter for the system, however just the ones that I like and appeal to me.

The first game i've bought is Mushihimesama (new sealed original release, not Taito Best) with a poster. Next on the list is probably Double Shienryu and Espgaluda.

It's becoming a real pain finding Ibara new and sealed. If anyone can help me track down a sealed copy I would appreciate it.

Nice! Where and for how much did you get that original Mushihimesama? eBay?

The one I have is a Taito Best release.

I have Ibara, but it is of course used. It is very hard to find this game new sealed because it only had one print run. Had there been a Taito Best release of this, you would have seen more original copies still existing in their shrinkwrap.

Yeah I got it off eBay. Paid quite a bit for it as well Neutral $99.99, but it was only $10 more than the Taito best version which didn't have a poster so I thought i'd just get it this version.

I lost a bid for a sealed Ibara this morning, it went for about $155. The one print run explains why it's not so common then Sad I might just get a pre-owned copy if a sealed one doesn't pop up soon. However the problem I find with eBay, peoples' definition of 'mint' is not the same as mine. Although Japanese sellers have been accurate in my past experiences.

Dear god man. Thats way too much money. 155 for a sealed Ibara? Wow.

You should be able to get Ibara used for around 50-60, and Mushihimesama Taito Best should sell for 30-40 tops. I have seen mushihimesama sell for 60 with figurine. Please ask for price recommendations next time and I can help you find the best deal available.

I'm not too well informed of how much games go for Embarassed

What I usually do is, I see what they roughly go for on eBay then try to get it at a lower price, unless it is in superb condition i'm willing to pay a bit more.

But I do think eBay sellers want too much in general. Cheapest Ibara on eBay now is $70 and cheapest Mushihimesama (Taito Best) is $60, both used.

Your Mushi, did you get it sealed? If so, if you get it with poster, that isn't too bad.

Another resource for these types of games is www.neo-geo.com Market Place forums. See the one titled "Everything Else". People sell cave shooters on there regularly. So you should be able to come across a few deals. Just have to keep your eyes peeled and PM any sellers as soon as you spot something.
