Check out these media shots from Darkwatch: Curse of the West. The latest release from Sammy Studio's. The main character's name is 'Jericho Cross'. Visitors to darkwatch.com will get access to constant updates such as media releases, new screenshots and movies and press previews. Guests who "join the Darkwatch" will receive exclusive content, including unreleased game updates and diaries from the game's development team.(honestly I think this is shameless hype plug from the developers but....they might actually come through on this so I thought I would mention it.) Anyways here is a bounty of media for your gleaming eyes to take a gander at. Ennjoy :]

If you want to see more on Darkwatch please visit our screenshots section.

A couple things:

A few of the screenshots SCREAMED Namco Guncon Game, but it's obviously not. Sad

Secondly, the visual style is really nice, but

WTF?!?!?!

This is supposed to be a Wild Wild West type game. The screenshots COMPLETELY and UTTERLY ignore the ENTIRE feeling of the West. The closest they get is that Neo of the Matrix/Villan from Wild Wild West wannabe and a guy on a horse.

I'm sort of disappointed in this. I was really looking forward to a Western game done right and online. At this point the closest I get is Lucky Luke and Toy Story.

EDIT:I take back my other edit. 8)

Oh ya, I'm still interested in the game, but HOW DARE THEY brand it as a Western.

Hey everybody, I just thought I'd drop in and say something I found out earlier. I emailed Sammy asking if this game would be dial up compatible. Here is my original email:

They then replied with:

Well you may be thinking, what a dumb response. I thought so too. So I emailed them back asking about the PS2 version. Here's what I got:

Good Morning John,

My quality assurance group has replied with "...DARKWATCH will not
support a dial up connection". Technology changes everyday. Please stay
tuned to the DARKWATCH news throughout the year and check the games
specs before running out and buying an Xbox. Though, I love my Xbox!

Have a great day,

Susan

Well damn. Sorry dialupers. Sad

As for my thoughts on the game, I, for one, think it looks pretty interesting. I'd definitely have to rent it before I bought it.

WOW I can't believe the rep said that. First they can't give correct specs. Then they reply with a fanboyish email? Man thats insane. Stupid company drones.

Isn't it funny? You remember the response I got with Sega? I've just about given up hope with emailing companies. I get all of these crap responses.

Well here is a really damn good idea. Anyone is free to take this idea since...I am too damn busy and I come up with good ideas like this but don't have the time to put them to use. So this one is up for grabs.

Someone should start a gamer website based on questions emailed to companies, and the site would basically expoit the stupidity of the staff who handles responding to these emails. Would make for a quite comical site, and also might light some fires under the asses of some of these companies. Why I even bring this up is almost every company that people at OC have emailed....they never fail in responding with a completly false response.

So uhhh whoever wants to use this can, I don't care. And also 2 words of advice....if you can design.....design the site well.....if you CAN'T design.....then just make it look really goddamn shitty. Like white times new roman on a black background or something. Faking either way just looks 12 times more tacky. Maybe this has already been done hell I don't know...lol jsut thought i would bring it up.

*Nikon ends rant*
