hi guys Very Happy ! i´m new here.
I had a question. could somebody tell me how to play r6 lockdown online? i play many games online: battlefield 2 mc, star war BF 2, COD3, SC CT, Delta force BH, Delta Force TS, and many more . but this game in particular had a very tricky way to conect online, this had a message about a router port ( 2232 udp) or something to redirect to the ps2. i dont know how to do that.

could somebody tell me how to do step by step in clear words please?

i had a ps2 slim us model
broadband :500kb
router : huawei smartax mt 820
The game : rainbow six lockdown pal

Pal? Ha, this is probably Nikon's area of expertise. Have you tried configuring your router to open port 2232 up for your PS2? That would be my only guess.....

BLOOD75, do you know how to access your router from the PC? By access, I mean typing an IP address in an internet browser and having it open a page up with options for your router.

What you need to do is a process called port forwarding. This opens up 'ports' for a device on the router that are otherwise blocked for security reasons. What you will need to do is
  1. Access your router
  2. Find the port forwarding page
  3. Connect your PS2 and attempt to go online
  4. Record the PS2's local IP address then place that along with the port (2232 UDP) to be forwarded.

If you are completely unfamiliar with your router, I can attempt to find a manual online and look for the key steps for port forwarding.

Yup, and to add on that, I think the routers IP address is 192.168.1.1 and the Username and Password is admin.

I did a little digging around and found a guide for port forwarding. This should be exactly what you're looking for BLOOD75.

Feel free to reply if you are still having trouble.

Note that the above guide is for the PC version of Lockdown, but the methods herein apply nonetheless.

Ha! That looks like exactly what he needs. I've gotta go there to if I ever get myself a router.

Another good reference would be in our Getting Online guide:

Is your PS2 configured with a manual or static IP configuration?

i had a static ip address, i used the same address with my ps2 since the first time (when i bought the console) i made the network configuration the manual mode, with my pc ip and the dns numbers. I had a question , the ps2 had ip address like a pc? because in this fact could be my error.

You want to make sure your PS2 and your PC have different IP addresses.
