Does anyone own a Katana memory card? I have heard good things, but wanted to know if anyone here had any experience with them. If you own either the 16MB or the 32MB cards, I'd like to hear some impressions.

I don't own one, but they seem great. I really could use one of the those 16mb or 32 mb memory cards.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Katana-Memory-Card-16-MB-PS2/10099657 $30 at Wal-Mart is a bit expensive though.

just found this too: http://vpgames.com/p-758-ps2-64-mb-memory-card-for-playstation-2.aspx?utm_source=Become&utm_medium=B ecomeROI&utm_campaign=PS2AMMEMORYCARD-64MB
Is that even legit? 64mb for under $20?

That 64MB card looks really sketchy. Even though those reviews are good, I would steer clear. You can't really judge the quality of a memory card over a few days. You need to use it on a consistent basis for a few months to see if it will corrupt or destroy your data.

Yeah, also you never know if the customer reviews were created by the people selling the product or something. The packaging looks like it is mocking the official memory cards and their yellow packaging but has no brand name on it.

I got nothing on them either. It's just to bad there STILL aren't any truly reliable 3rd party memory cards for the PS2.

Well the Katana ones do have the Sony license or whatever, so I'm assuming they have to be pretty reliable and I'm yet to see a bad review on them.
