In financial statements revealed by Electronic Arts they recently revieled a few hints about their online gaming structure.
EA plans on implimenting an experimental pay-for-play system for tournaments on NBA Live 2004. It would also enable consumers to pay for downloadable content for various EA sports and game titles. EA stressed that this is a testing/learning phase with its online agenda and it has no idea yet wether they can efficiently pull a profit from online gaming. They have yet to form any long-term online payment features......yet. Source |
