Tony Hawk's Underground isn't broadband only. I play it all the time with my dialup connection via the dialup jack on the network adapter.

Why would you want to use ICS on THUG if you can just plug a phone cord into the network adapter? Is there some type of rule that if you have dial-up then you cannot play with anyone with broadband?

I know that there isn't, as I've played all three Tony Hawk games online (3, 4 and Underground) over dial-up (not ICS dial-up). Dial-up and broadband players aren't separated or anything.

Oh, I know that. I'm just saying what's the point if the game is dial-up compatible.

Maybe once the whole ICS thing is set-up already, it'd be too much of a hassle just to get a phone cord going to the network adaptor? That's what I would think, but I don't wanna be speaking for Gforce.

Asto which games work best over ICS dial-up, I would guess that FPS do not work well. Fast action RS3 games (for example), even if it is a limited amount of players, probably won't survive for that long over dial-up without lots of lag or a disconnection altogether. You just kinda have to interpret which games are more bandwidth-intensive than others, so you know which bb-only games would work best over dial-up. One game that might work well is bb-only Trival Pursuit: Unhinged, but I don't know if you want to play that kind of game.

cool thanks but ur right wouldnt want to play a trivia game over the net.and the reason i played thug over ics was just out of curiosity to c how many players i could host on normal dialup thats all (which is about 5) Smile

Just keep both a phone line and an ethernet cable plugged in at all times =P

Socom will work over ICS but be warned only play 4on4 games anymore ppl and the game will be a really big lagfest. A good game to use over ICS with voice chat is Rainbow six three.

yeah it lag mostly every where on that game, no matter where you are. It just matters on your oponents connection so watch what rooms you go in. most of the time the respawn games lag pretty bad. oh and dont use the pump on a respawn. some people have a theroy that this is the reason why respawn rooms lag so horribly so dont use one. And as snake said Rainbowsix 3 is a good game to ics with i tried it the other day absolutly no lag what so ever so get rainbowsix three to feed that first person shooter hunger, its either spend 50 bucks on a game that can support ics or spend 40 bucks a month on some decent broad band.
