this does work, i have tried this with three seperate phone lines at school. so for all the sceptics out there this does work..... i got a top download speed of 129 Kbps and an upload speed of 76 kbps, it was a lil unstable tho so im guessin that you have to get some pretty good connections goin in order to use this. but if you are ganna pay for three phone lines you might as well get broadband Laughing .

Yes definatly. If at all possible, get a job and earn some money, even if it's used to buy offline games. Your mom may also see that you're willing to work and allow you to go back online again. I know my mom was willing to let me buy my computer when she saw that I was willing to work for it.

Wait, how did you achieve this? Did you connect two PCs to separate dialup connections, and share the connection by putting them, (and the PS2,) on the same network? Or did you get a specialized ISDN router? If you did that how did you dial in each number? I'm curious, because I might need to do this in the future.

Holy shit, I sounded like a little bitch in that one post I made on August, and my grammar was shit to (thanks for zero middle school)...... Anyways, I did neither, I actually put two 56k modems in one computer, connected each modem to a separate phone line, and selected multilink somewhere in my dialup connection settings. Also, when I did it, I used the same free isp for each modem to dial into. In the end, it did work OK but it was more trouble than it was worth, being that I had phone cords all over my house and I had difficulty keeping both modems online; one modem might lose connection, leaving me back with 56k or both would drop out after less than a half hour.

Wow! You mean you actually got close to 56kb/s with a free isp? The most I ever got was 14.4kb/s! Laughing
Well, thank you for the advice; I plan on using it if I ever want to game online when I'm somewhere that has no broadband access, but does have landline phone access. I could try to combine my 52kb/s "real" connection with the aforementioned free isp I got to work. After redirecting through the shared connection, the 52k one would probably slow down to around 43k, and the free one would probably be at around 12k. 43+12=55. Hey, that's around regular dialup speed!

Lol, I've always managed to connect around the speed of 48-50kb/s with the free isp's I've used, but you've never got more than 14.4kb/s from a free isp??? Does the isp you use have some sorta extra ads associated with it or something? Because you should defiantly be able to get more than 14.4kb/s, unless you're modem is hella hella old.
