Same here, ESPN NFL 2k5 always plays the replay's at halftime in motion.

Check the back of the game box, it should show the HDD icon if it uses it. If it does, there's probably something in the manual that will tell you about the special features you get if you do have the HDD.

I've checked ESPN NFL 2K5 and ESPN NHL 2K5, and neither indicate HDD support on the back. However, it is clearly stated in their respective manuals, and will be in full effect when the HDD is present in your PS2. ESPN NBA 2K5 also has full HDD support.

The hd loader allows you to save games and play them off of your hdd. it cuts the loading time in half.. However you can play games online with DNAS. it wont work.. some DNAS games wont work when saved on hdd entirely where some DNAS games only have the offline modes work... So far every game that didnt have online play worked for me...Also you still can play games online wihtout DNAs like tribes, socom, and twisted metal black online.. I think the only place to get one of these now is ebay and maybe a few online stores... I do believe the quit making them but im not quite sure.

There's also a somewhat hefty incompatibility list that should be somewhere on the web. Sorry, I don't have a link off-hand.

About it not being sold anymore: The HDLoader is pretty much obsolete outside of places like eBay, but HD Advance (an import of the same thing with some newer features) is more likely to be found.

The HDD doesn't get enough support I think... shame I was really hyped about it for awhile but the price and little support have made me not want to waste my cash. But the support it does get it soo sweet, ::Thinks of Socom II::

Ermm?? I was promised downloadable maps, not maps distributed on OPM demo discs... So far, SOCOM II has failed me in HDD support, which is a shame, because I was really looking forward to getting some of those maps...
