Many of you have probobly already seen Okami via movies or screenshots.

Here are some screenshots:

This is one game where I am really really really excited for it to get released. Just watching the trailers for this game has my drooling on my desk.

Okami reminds me of Viewtiful Joe in way. With the graphical engine being cel shaded. Classic gameplay with twists always makes games worth while. Smile

It's amazing the things that can be done on a system with only 4MB VRAM. From MGS3 to ZOE2 (years ago), to Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, to GT4 in 1080-fucking-i, developers are really cranking out some amazing visuals on the PS2 nowadays.

And this game is no exception.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'll have to check up on it from time to time.

I will be sure to post some impressions of this game as soon as I play it. It is a game that I want to be in the right mindstate to play so I can focus on it and take in the experience.

You are correct sir!

I have over 80 PS2 games laying around sealed unopened.

I played the demo of Okami a long while back and was simply amazed at the artistic style alone. However, I'd be more compelled to buy it if I didn't have a box full of unplayed, sealed PS2 games like Nikon (although not as many, I'm sure). Sad

I'm close to being ready to play this game. I played through Twilight Princess over Christmas, so I felt like I needed a break before I ran around as a wolf for another 40 hour game. Too much wolfage too soon. I may start this game in the next month or so.
