A few months back I scored Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex for the PS2. I am a big GITS fan. The game overall is pretty cool, but it can get really monotinious at times. Where you are just taking down enemy after enemy. There are some cool jump puzzles though.
However after playing through every mission, getting to the end was atleast rewarding. I don't want to spoil it, but the "end boss" is well worth the time spent playing through all of the missions. I did not expect this at all. It was a great suprise and my favorite part of the game. So if you have this game and only played through the first 5 or so missions and put it aside, I recommend that you keep on playing. When you beat the game there are tons of new goodies that become unlocked. Like characters and maps for multiplayer. |

I have the demo disc, and it seemed pretty awesome,but I held off on buying the game because of some mediocre reviews from customers. It's pretty cheap now used, so I'll definately have to check it out sometime. | |||

You have to be carefull about taking other peoples word for it. Even from me. However, I am a very un-biased game recommender. I tell it how it is, and will often take other people's gameplay habbits into account when recommending games.
Here is a list of positives and negatives I found when playing the game: Positives: -Awesome final boss battle (a true highlight of the game) -Great music (all Drum & Bass!!! whooo!!!!!!!!) -Fun game mechanics -The graphics and game performance is great -Hacking puzzles are simple, challenging, and fun -Solid splitscreen multiplayer (humans required) -Unlockables based on mission performance -More difficulty settings than the JP release Negatives: -Repetative gameplay -No Bots in multiplayer -Convoluted mundane storyline -English Voice options only & Cannot mute voices alone The positives out-weight the negatives, so this game is a worthwhile purchase.
